The award-winning entertainment consultant, manager, and producer revealed some fascinating ideas, insights, and opinions in new interview.

Phoenix, AZ – May 26, 2023 – Kirt Webster, fixture of the American music industry, learned this week that productions, in which he served as a supervising producer, executive producer or co-executive producer won national Telly awards during the 2023 voting cycle.  Webster who was the co-executive producer along with Ray De La Garza, producer Spencer Proffer, and executive producer Bruce Gillmer won a GOLD Telly and a BRONZE Telly in the documentary categories for the Paramount+ release of “The Day The Music Died: The Story of Don McLean’s American Pie”. In addition, Webster won two SILVER Telly statuettes for his supervising producer role in creating the Appalachia Rise: Come Hell or High Water Telethon which raised money for the flood victims in Eastern Kentucky and one BRONZE Telly as an executive producer of Don McLean’s 50th Anniversary American Pie promotional video.

“Being nominated for anything is a win, let alone taking home a trophy for your creative works,” says Kirt Webster.  “I am humbled and honored to know that creating video content that has an impact on someone else is happening.  We strive daily to make a difference and these pieces of work do just that.  We helped raise money for Kentucky flood victims and we helped tell the story behind a historic song that everyone has wanted to know the true meaning of.  That is the cool factor!”

In addition to creating video content to help those aspiring to learn about the music business, Webster also finds time to bring  his wisdom and expertise as an award-winning consultant, manager, and producer to periodicals whose mission is to kindle the aspirations of novice and would-be entrepreneurs and businesspeople.  In a recent online feature, Webster shares part of his typical workday, considering the many roles he plays in dealing with his roster of clients, “I start out each day by consulting a to-do list made up of all the clients and projects I have on the go. I make sure to cross off each task as it’s completed,” he replies, adding, “Knowing that I did something for each of my clients is a satisfying feeling. Crossing off the tasks on my to-do list tells me that I had a productive day because it affirms that I was able to move each of my projects forward.”

Later in the interview, Kirt Webster addresses a question about his methodology for bringing his ideas from the conceptual stage into reality, answering, “Everybody’s got an idea, but the real trick is sussing each idea out and evaluating if it’s the right fit for the right situation. You can have a great idea, but if you don’t know how to execute it, it’s not worth bringing to the table. You have to think ahead when you’re pitching an idea with a client because once you say it, they might get excited and want to execute it. Put simply, if you can’t bring an idea to fruition, you’re not putting a checkmark in the win column. You have to think about if you can make something happen before you vocalize it to a client.”
