20 July, 2020 – Greenville, SC – The SE Center for Photography, a premier exhibition and education venue for promoting the art and enjoyment of fine photography, is celebrating its 5th anniversary this month. A venue for invitational and juried exhibitions of local, national, and international photographers and artists of all skill levels, the SE Center has been proudly engaging a passionate community of collectors, curators, enthusiasts, and colleagues over the last five years, and looks forward to continuing this trend.

The SE Center for Photography, a 2,400 square foot freestanding building in downtown Greenville, is located just one and a half blocks from Main Street. With three gallery spaces and additional room for lounges, classrooms, workshops, and a bookstore, the SE Center has succeeded in becoming a premier destination for solo photographers and group shows.

Home to 81 exhibitions over the years, the work of over 1,600 accomplished photographers has been proudly displayed on the SE Center’s walls, drawing talent from all 50 states and territories, and more than 60 countries worldwide. The SE Center’s current exhibition, Architecture, has attracted participation from more than fifty acclaimed photographers.

Additionally, the SE Center has established a reputation for its other weekly and monthly events, including BookTalk, which showcases the latest photobooks and their creators, publishers, and collectors on the third Saturday of each month, and Second Saturday Coffee, an event held for likeminded individuals to discuss photography and art in a warm, inviting community setting on the second Saturday of each month from 10 AM – 1 PM. To date, over 1,200 donuts have been consumed at Second Saturday Coffee events.
