Sercanto, a job search engine, has applied a strategy over the past two years to optimize the collection, organization, and submission of job offers consistent with a job search.

Davide Pilato, CEO, told us how Sercanto could revolutionize the website operation through three important optimizations.

“Sercanto’s motto is ‘The Perfect Job in a few Clicks’ and the goal is to maximize the user’s browsing experience to facilitate their work search,” explains Davide. “To pursue our mission, we have set ourselves three objectives to achieve: the re-engineering of the platform, the removal of invasive advertising and the improvement of the search engine as regards the relevance between the search and the ad.”

Thanks to the platform’s re-engineering, Sercanto is the major job search engine with ad inventory at the volume level and this is thanks to the huge technological effort that led it to work with Google Cloud.

In addition to the record for ad volumes, this operation has allowed you to have the best browsing speed performance; a key feature for any website. A user who searches Sercanto can obtain the results in even less time and this translates into a reduction in the analysis of the various job offers.

The second strategy concerns Sercanto’s advertising system; over the years the company has achieved the record of top advertising performer in the Google circuit; despite being a huge milestone, this did not allow the user experience maximization so Sercanto eliminated the advertising circuit from the platform.

The site’s clean-up has decreased distractions and has left more space for job vacancies. Lastly, the search engine was optimized to improve the relevance between the search and the ad, advanced search dynamics were applied that allowed to double the application rate based on the same volume of traffic.

In practice, the implementations have brought both a better affinity between the keywords entered to carry out the search and the relevance of the ads, and the enhancement of the geolocation service.
