Dogs have been largely described as man’s best friend as millions of people in different parts of the world look to enjoy their amazing companionship. Unfortunately, pet parents across the globe have found it difficult to give the best form of care to their furry companions in recent times, especially with the Covid-19 pandemic putting a strain on their finances. The case is not particularly different in the United States, a phenomenon that led to Brian Taylor creating The Pup Relief Tour in 2020 to help pet parents who are in need financially during the pandemic.

The 2021 Pup Relief Tour will make its first stop at Philly, hosted by Rahanna Gray, an experienced groomer and black-owned business owner of Stylish Pooch, a pet grooming service provider in an RV. The Philly Operation – PHILLY Cheesesteak will hold on July 26 and 27 at Stylish Pooch (Philly) 734 Chester Pike Prospect Park PA 19076, with 10 groomers volunteering to help groom 100 pups for free.

The next stop, tagged Paws of Hope, will be Orlando, to be hosted by Lashonda Geffrard, a black-owned business owner in Orlando and the founder of The Paw Shop, a dog grooming salon. It will hold on July 29 and 30 at The Paw Shop (Orlando). 401 N Clarke Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761, with plans to groom over 100 pups.

Operation – Act of Service, the 3rd stop, will be at Birmingham, Alabama, hosted by Octavian Walls of Beautiful Barks LLC – 1832 Bessemer Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35208. The black-owned small business owner and a part of the LDGBT community aims to inspire equality and will be hosting the tour to groom 100 dogs on August 1st and 2nd.

The train moves to Fort Wayne, with Kandi Kutz, the first female blacked-owned pet grooming salon owner in the state of Indiana, celebrates the grand opening of her new salon by grooming 100 pups on August 4th and 5th.

The tour is scheduled to make its final stop in Vegas, where Brandy Glasgow, a semi-retired groomer and volunteer with Street Dogz will be providing free grooming services alongside 15 groomers from across the country. The event that will hold on August 7 and 8 will also provide free pet food and supplies to participants.
