Quality Urgent Care Brings COVID-19 Vaccines to San Antonio Communities

From schools to assisted living facilities, Quality Urgent Care is helping to bring more vaccines directly to Texas communities in need.

COVID-19 continues to impact communities across Texas as the state makes strides to reopen local economies. In a March 2, 2021 press release, Governor Abbot lifted state-wide mask mandates and business restrictions, citing increased vaccinations as an important factor in his decision to reopen the state.

Much of this critical vaccine distribution is being executed by small, family-owned clinics such as Quality Urgent Care. Led by Dr. Patel, Quality Urgent Care has already provided over 5000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines in the San Antonio area.

As a family-owned business, Quality Urgent Care is working to go above and beyond to reach the most vulnerable members of the community. Efforts to extend vaccine outreach into San Antonio’s more rural areas have become a focus for the clinic. From teachers to assisted living communities, Quality Urgent Care is striving to provide vaccines to those who need them most.

In the wake of the pandemic, many urgent care clinics across Texas were forced to close their doors. Dr. Patel’s clinic has remained open, making concerted efforts to provide expansive, accessible testing to the community. Since the pandemic began, Quality Urgent Care has traveled to over 4 locations to provide onsite COVID-19 testing. Additionally, Quality Urgent Care has performed a total of over 75,000 COVID-19 tests in San Antonio.

Now, Quality Urgent Care is taking a similar approach to coronavirus vaccinations. By traveling to schools and group living homes, Quality Urgent care is able to administer vaccines directly to those in need. Dr. Patel feels honored to assist in the safe reopening of Texas by providing essential testing and vaccination services.

As more vaccines become available to Texas pharmacies, Quality Urgent Care will continue to expand onsite vaccination services. The goal is for Quality Urgent Care to deliver vaccines to all patients who would like to receive one. Dr. Patel hopes that by providing widespread testing and vaccination opportunities, San Antonio will gradually begin to regain its sense of normalcy.
